Mercy Corps: Water Scarcity Report
Illustrating the impact of water infrastructure on regional peace.
Throughout its history, Mercy Corps has understood that communities are the best agents of their own change and local markets are the best engines of long-term recovery. Water shortages have impacted families across Jordan, and this has been further exacerbated by the surge of Syrian refugees. Mercy Corps aimed to produce a report around research that addresses the urgency of this crisis and the power of donations in support of water infrastructure and, in turn, regional peace.
How water shortages affect peace – and how impact investing can help.
In more than 40 countries, Mercy Corps puts bold solutions into action, helping people triumph over adversity and grow stronger from within. Mercy Corps creates breakthrough solutions by connecting people with the resources they need to enhance their communities from within. Rmrkbl crafted a visually captivating report that tells the story of people coming together for progress. The strategic use of photography and colors reflective of water and desert sands and infographics embedded throughout demonstrated impact and opportunity.
The results.
Based on new research and Mercy Corps’ ongoing water work in Jordan, each section of the report outlined urgent needs and provided key recommendations to guide institutional donor efforts and policies.
